A very creative, well-written book. The story about Rizla and his day to day life is not only intriguing but is riddled with raw honesty. One can't help but feel for Rizla as he makes his way through life dealing with the responsibility of being a college instructor, husband, and father while taking on a mistress as well. The creative use of text message format (between Rizla and Catherine) is very engaging. This book will make you laugh and cry as you get a "sneak peak" into the life of of a very interesting character.
Coffee and not wanting to put this book down equaled my Sunday morning today. I was more than pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed Grownup Lessons. Rizla, Catherine and K____, I personally can relate to each of them, along with so many of the stories within. I will be passing this one on.
